My Desk Mess Redux

It's still not clean. Four months ago I wrote about how I was going to undertake the cleaning and organization of my desk. It was a noble ambition, but I have not been able to proceed in any fashion. Actually, the piles have grown a layer or two....or three. And yes I did collect pens, pencils and highlighters and put them in drawers and coffee cups. But as you can tell from this picture, it is starting to overwhelm me.

So I'm making a public promise to myself -- My desk will be clean by Labor Memorial Day. Oops, my subconscious is showing.
